Classical saxophone artist to perform at Berry

Saxophone soloist Otis Murphy will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (March 9) in the Berry College Ford Auditorium. 

The concert is free and open to the public. Murphy is a professor of saxophone at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He has gained wide recognition in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Murphy has received awards including prizes in the Jean-Marie Londeix International Saxophone competition in France and the Heida Hermanns International Woodwind competition in the United States. Murphy also acts as a consultant in the research and development of Yamaha saxophones and has released four critically acclaimed solo albums.
