Worship Concert Series

Folk and hip-hop inspired Christian musicians will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 10) at the Forum River Center in downtown Rome.

Musicians Josh Garrels and Propaganda are part of the Worship Concert Series hosted by the Berry College Chaplain's Office.

Garrels explores themes of compassion, hope, longing and liberation through music that is a genre-blending mix of folk and hip hop. Released in August, his most recent album is "Chrysaline."

Propaganda is a poet and a political activist who uses his experience to challenge and guide others, especially through music. His latest album,"Crooked," was released in 2017. Propaganda also hosts a podcast called the Red Couch Podcast with his wife, Alma Zaragoza-Petty who is a college advisor and student impact and evaluation manager for ScholarMatch, a San Francisco based non-profit. The podcast discusses everything from pop culture to social issues.

Tickets for the concert are $10 and are available on Eventbrite for attendees who are not affiliated with Berry. Tickets for Berry students are free, but must be picked up in the Chaplain's Office with a student ID prior to the concert.

Doors open at 6 p.m. For more information, contact the Office of the Chaplain at (706) 236-2217.
