Bilingualism and Success: Now You Are Speaking My Language

ROME, Ga. – A Berry College alumnus will discuss the advantages of learning a foreign language at 5 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22) in the Krannert Center at Berry.

Allie Crain is the outreach coordinator at Georgia Institute of Technology-Lorraine, located in Metz, France. Crain recruits undergraduate students to spend a semester studying abroad on the campus in France. She handles the social media accounts for Georgia Tech-Lorraine, designs promotional materials for the campus, and writes articles for various Georgia Tech and Georgia Tech-Lorraine newsletters. Crain utilizes her French speaking skills daily as she travels to France for work and communicates with French-speaking colleagues in Atlanta.

Crain graduated from Berry in 2018 with an undergraduate degree in French and communication. While at Berry, she worked as an assistant news producer for Viking Fusion, a research assistant and was a part of the Berry’s French discussion group. Crain also studied abroad in Paris and Ireland through the European Council Program.

This event, part of The Language Advantage Speaker Series, is free and open to the public.
