The Rome Symphony Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. March 12 at Berry College in the newly renovated Betty Anne Rouse Bell Recital Hall at Ford Auditorium.
The Rome Symphony Orchestra is the oldest orchestra in the South, created in 1921 by Edith Lester Harbin. The orchestra consists of 50 to 65 professional musicians. Jeffrey Sean Dokken is the current Rome Symphony Orchestra conductor. He has performed across the United States in some of the most renowned venues including Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
Ecuadorian Pianist Juan Carlos Escudero will join Dokken in a piano and vocal recital of Broadway, light classical and traditional Ecuadorian music. Escudero is critically acclaimed and recently received the Concert of the Year Award given by the New York Critics Association.
Tickets are available to purchase at the concert and will be $25 for adults, $14 for seniors and military, $10 for students and $9 for children.
