Beginning Feb. 14, Oak Hill & the Martha Berry Museum will host the Senior Scholars program consisting of a series of courses for adults ages 55 and up.
“We are so excited to be offering Senior Scholars again this spring,” said Allison Moore, the Director of Community Engagement and Education at Oak Hill. “The program allows us to open the museum up to extend unique educational offerings to seniors in our community.”
The Senior Scholars program offers a wide variety of classes and social programs and encourage participants to build friendships and a sense of community while participating in lifelong learning and growth. This semester, 13 courses will be taught both by Berry College faculty and members of the Rome community. Courses feature a wide range in topics, such as watercolor painting, genealogy, Spanish language, and literature. There is also a selection of health and wellness courses including pickleball, yoga, and martial arts.

About Oak Hill: Built in the 1880s, The Oak Hill home is the Greek Revival mansion of Martha Berry, the founder of Berry College.
