Berry College ranks among the top 30 colleges in the nation

Berry College ranks among the top 30 colleges in the nation for service learning, internships, first-year experiences and learning communities, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

And among regional universities in the South, Berry continues to lead as a “Best Value,” “Most Innovative” and “Best Undergraduate Teaching” in the 2026 Best Colleges rankings.

Details:

  • No. 7, Service Learning, just ahead of Brown University and Georgetown University
  • No. 17 for Learning Communities, tied GSU
  • No. 19 for Internships
  • No. 28 in First-Year Experiences, tied with ASU and Texas A&M
  • No. 4 overall among Regional Universities in the South
  • No. 1 for Undergraduate Teaching Programs, Regional Universities in the South
  • No. 1 in Best Value, Regional Universities in the South
  • No. 2 Most Innovative, Regional Universities in the South

“The Best Undergraduate Teaching accolade is a reflection of how Berry students work and grow alongside faculty mentors — exploring their interests and contributing to their fields of study in ways that better prepare them for a meaningful future,” said Berry President Sandeep Mazumder. “We are proud that the institution continues to be recognized for a legacy of excellence in the categories of ‘Service Learning,’ ‘Learning Communities’ and ‘Internships.’ We attribute our well-documented inclusion here to Berry graduates and how they are known for a sense of purpose, work ethic and habits of mind that give them a distinct advantage in their professional lives.”

The U.S. News ranking evaluates more than 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities, using up to 17 factors to measure academic quality and graduate success. Affordability is another key consideration for students and their families, so U.S. News created lists of Best Value Schools and schools that award merit aid to the most students. The Paying for College knowledge center offers additional insights and tips about different types of education aid, including grants, loans and scholarships.
