Berry College’s Campbell School of Business hosted the first Nonprofit CoLab recently, drawing dozens of nonprofit organizations from northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama for a day of workshops, dialogue and skill-building.

The event, held as part of Berry’s annual Business Week and led by Courtney Cash, Campbell School of Business’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence, was developed in partnership with the Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation. Nonprofit executives, board members, healthcare leaders and Berry students participated in workshops targeting grant writing, financial sustainability and organizational governance.

The Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation was established following the merger of Floyd Health System and Atrium Health. The foundation partnered with the Business School as part of a broader effort to address regional disparities in health care, housing and food security. This event followed the foundation’s grant writing seminar held last year and is intended to be the first in a series of educational and collaborative opportunities for the region’s nonprofit community.
