For Students

You hear the distressing cry, “Emergency! Someone please help!” Are you prepared to respond?

The scenarios are endless – a sports injury, automobile accident, heart attack, fire, tornado, or active shooter just to name a few. As a Berry Student, are you ready to respond? In the event of an emergency, the first thing that you should do is call Campus Police at 706.236.2262 from an external line or ext. 2262 from a campus line. It is always important to stay calm in any emergency, and to follow any instructions given to you by first responders.

In the residence halls, look for RA’s to be giving instructions on what to do and where to go. In other campus buildings, the professors and professional staff are trained and will be able to assist in any emergency situation. In order to maintain the safest environment possible, students have a personal responsibility to cooperate in any emergency situation and to allow emergency personnel.
