ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Following a positive test, an infected individual on campus is interviewed by a contact tracing team from the college, in accordance with public health and HIPAA standards. The interview focuses on the history of symptoms, travel and direct contacts with others (less than 6 feet away for more than 15 minutes). An isolation period is established and direct contacts on campus are contacted regarding quarantine obligations. Affected facilities on campus are cleaned and sanitized as needed. The college has set aside special areas for isolation purposes.

Although the actual spread of Covid-19 has been contained on campus thus far, the number of students quarantined in a few instances demonstrates the importance of practicing appropriate preventative measures.
