Gaby matching gift spurs support for Ford renovation

Commitments supporting the planned renovation of Ford Auditorium have soared past the $1 million mark with help from a $300,000 matching gift challenge by Berry parents Rick and Barbara Gaby (pictured with their children).

The now-completed Gaby Challenge provided a dollar-for-dollar match for new commitments to the $4.9 million project, which will breathe new life into Berry’s signature venue for music performance. Planned enhancements include an enlarged stage, 366 seats in an arched configuration, a redesigned balcony, high-performance acoustics, digital lighting and sound systems, climate-controlled instrument storage, a renovated foyer and lobby, and restoration of historic architectural elements.

The success of the Gaby Challenge mirrors that of other recent matching gift projects supporting the Gate of Opportunity Scholarship Program, Clark Track, Dickey Field and, most recently, Sisters Theatre at Blackstone Hall.

While the Gaby Challenge is now complete, additional support is needed to fully fund the renovation effort. Make your gift today by clicking “Give Online” on this page and selecting “Ford Auditorium renovation” from the “Campaign Priorities” menu.
