Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship  
Award: Maximum of $7,500 annually for undergraduate study.  
Deadline: Berry's Goldwater Faculty Contact must submit your completed application in January. Interested in applying must contact Dr. Turlington well in advance of that time. 
Eligibility: Sophomore or junior with outstanding potential and intent to pursue a career in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering. Must have a GPA of at least a “B” and be in the upper fourth of his or her class. U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates Award  
Award: The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program.  
Deadline: Various, depending on the specific project.  
Eligibility: Undergraduate student participants supported with NSF funds must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its possessions. Individual sites may have specific eligibility requirements (see  http://www.nsf.gov/crssprgm/reu/reu_search.cfm).

Student Educational Enrichment Program (SEEP) at Medical College of Georgia
Award: Housing, tuition and stipend for seven-week summer program for students interested in a career in health sciences
Deadline: Expect a February deadline
Eligibility: Background that is under-represented in the health science professions and/or is educationally/economically disadvantaged. There are two programs: 1) Intermediate level: Minimum one year of college, one semester general biology, two semesters general chemistry, minimum GPA 3.0 overall and in science coursework; 2) Advanced: minimum two years of college, two years of Biology, two years of Chemistry (including Organic), one semester of Physics, minimum GPA 3.0 overall and in science coursework.

Boren Scholarships for Undergraduate International Study  
Award: Up to $20,000  
Deadline: The deadline is early January.
Eligibility: The online application is released in late August 2014; however, you must apply through Berry.

Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowships  
Award: $30,000 stipend to teach in Georgia or New Jersey and admission to a master's degree program at a participating university.  
Deadline: October 15
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in the STEM disciplines, i.e., science, technology, engineering or mathematics; GPA of 3.0 or above; U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
