On campus cable TV service is provided by Comcast. When you have cable service or repair requests, first call 404 COMCAST (404-266-2278)…Press 1 for English and when asked if you are a current customer, press 1. You will then be asked for your primary home telephone number…simply press 0 and it will bypass you to a Comcast operator. Explain that we are a commercial account customer and a college in Rome, GA. Except for buildings on Martha Berry Highway, our official address is 2277 Martha Berry Highway, Rome, GA 30149. Be sure to provide them with your building name and room number for their notes on the work order. If you experience problems with Comcast, please call Steve Hill the Data Infrastructure Manager at 706-238-7900 or email him at email@example.com .

I’m coming to Berry! What kind of computer should I get?
OIT does not give brand recommendations for students wishing to purchase a new computer. In most cases, any machines purchased within the last three years will fit your needs. Keep in mind when buying a new computer: OIT recommends a three year warranty minimum.
How do I download my copy of Microsoft Office?
Students have the option of using Microsoft Office 365 which can be downloaded and installed directly to the students computer from a web link in their email. Students can also opt to use Microsoft Office Web Apps for free. This package includes popular applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
Microsoft Office 365 can be accessed by logging into your email at mail.office365.com, clicking on the gear symbol in the upper-right hand corner of the browser window next to your name and then by selecting Office 365 settings, "Software - Install and manage software" and finally by clicking "Install."
My personal equipment is slow/has a virus/is acting
weird. Can you help me?
Berry College staff technicians do not work on personally-owned computers. The Technical Support Desk can assist any Berry user with basic troubleshooting. For more complex issues, the BITS Crew is available to assist Berry students with Windows software issues such as virus removal and data backup. The BITS Crew does not work on Macs. The BITS Crew is
staffed by student workers, so appointments are necessary.

Locally, Alto Computers can perform computer work for a fee. They are an independent contractor and thus are not endorsed by the college even though we are very familiar with their work.
