Berry College Gouda cheese, chocolate mint, Adirondack chairs, and spirit apparel are just a few of the items that will be for sale Oct. 19 at Harry's Farmers Market in Marietta.
The Berry Student Enterprises will showcase their produce and products from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through a partnership with Whole Foods-affiliated Harry's Farmers Market. Participating enterprises are Martha's Herbs, Season's Harvest, The Berry Farm's Jersey Milk and AgriEducation, The Oak Hill Gift Shop, Viking Creations, and Viking Furniture.
Martha's Herbs and Season's Harvest use the facilities of the Horticultural Department to grow herbs and produce. Two greenhouses provide optimal growing environments year round away from harsh winter and fall temperatures. The students of Martha's Herbs and Season's Harvest strive to grow the healthiest, most desirable herbs and vegetables.
Jersey Milk partners with Udderly Cool Dairy to provide a variety of high quality, flavorful cheeses. Cheeses are produced from 100% Berry milk and are hormone free. Varieties include Aguzzo, Jack, Jack n Dill, Gouda, Gouda Gold, Smoked Gouda, Cranberry Fromage, and Italian Herb Fromage.
Each enterprise is made entirely of Berry students who work closely with a faculty or staff advisor. For more information check www.berry.edu/studententerprises.
