The Chaplain's Bookshelf

The Chaplain’s Bookshelf is a resource available to students and staff. Bibles, books, and Bible Study materials are here to help individuals with questions, those who are looking for good study materials, or those looking to start a Bible study. The materials are on a shelf in the lobby of the Chaplain’s Office on the third floor of Krannert and individuals can stop by any time Monday through Friday 8 am-5 pm. Some authors include:

  • N.T. Wright
  • C.S. Lewis
  • Amy Sherman
  • Timothy Keller
  • James K. A. Smith
  • And many, many others

Display Case

Outside of the Chaplain’s Office on the third floor of Krannert, there are resources available to the campus whenever Krannert Center is open. Our display case is home to all kinds of free materials including the lasted issues of Christianity Today and Relevant Magazine. In addition, we offer free booklets on a variety of topics from forgiveness to dealing with anxiety. There are academic journals, and brochures about the Chaplain’s Office, seminaries in Georgia, and non-profit services.

Our Care Network is a resource of free services for students and staff of the Berry Community. We have a card station where individuals can come get free cards to send for birthdays, thank you notes, condolences, and holidays. The Care Network is also home to the Student Emergency Relief Fund. Made available through the generous donations of Berry alumni, this fund is made available as a free service to students in need. Students can come to the office and make an appointment with the chaplain to access this service.

The Chaplain and Assistant Chaplain are available for pastoral counseling with students. Anyone with questions, needing prayer, struggling with life issues, or just in need of spiritual mentoring are welcome to make an appointment with either Dr. Jon Huggins or Erin Moniz. Call, email, or come by the office to set an appointment. All sessions are confidential.
