Student Activities
BCEMS offers an array of activities for kids of all ages, both during and after school. The following is a brief summary of some of our most popular activities:
Athletics: BCEMS fields several athletic teams each year. Student athletics participation on the middle school level is well over 80%! Our most popular team sports are Cross Country, Track, Golf, Tennis, and Basketball.
Assemblies: Students meet once per week each Friday morning to participate in our school-wide assembly. Our middle school students also lead a Viking Assembly held in Frost Chapel one Friday per month.
Dance and Yoga Classes: Offered as an after-school program in our multi-purpose room on the mountain campus.
Kids’ College: Kids’ College is BCEMS’ after-school program. Students at Kids’ College get to swim, use the computer lab, play in the game room, work on art projects, get homework assistance, and have fun!
H3O: H3O is our service organization for middle schoolers. H3O projects are planned by students to serve the community and care for those in need.
Events: BCEMS events occur all year long. Some of our annual events are the Great Berry Pumpkin Race, Swim Night, Boo-ball Baseball Game (Parents vs. Students), Berry Great Bowling Night, Berry Bar-B-Que, Middle School Play, Mountain Day Olympics, Morning at the House of Dreams, Spring Program, Thanksgiving Family Feast, the Berry Half Marathon 5k & 10K, and Young Authors’ Day.
Scouting: We are the host site for our very own Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.
