What is Viking Fusion?
Viking Fusion is a student-run multimedia Web site that seeks to inform and entertain both the Berry student community and the larger public. Content on the site is exclusively authored and produced by Berry College students.
Although Viking Fusion is operated and managed by students, the Fusion staff is supervised by a professional staff member (advisor) of the Department of Communication, whose job is to ensure that Viking Fusion content and delivery are professional in every respect.
What can I find on the site?
Viking Fusion contains news stories (including stories from the student newspaper), videos, short films, photos, artwork and creative writing. You can also find polls, a community calendar and forums on current topics. Fusion staff even develop fun quizzes on current events, entertainment and other issues. They also have links to other local news sites to keep you informed- all on one site!
How can I be a part of what you are doing?
The administrative staff meets in the TV studio of the Laughlin Building every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. The Viking Fusion staff would love to have you join them. The staff is part of Berry's student work program and all have jobs at varied skill and pay levels. They also rely heavily on volunteers. But even if you can't make the meetings, you are always welcome to submit to the site through the contribute page. Videos, photographs and creative writing are all welcome.
Do I have to be a Communication major to contribute?
Certainly not! Viking Fusion welcomes students from all disciplines to contribute their writing, photos, videos and artwork to the site. It is a great place to showcase and publish all your creative work. You can also send us topics for forums and discussions and share your thoughts on all you see on the site. All you have to do is register for a free account with the site.
