Short Bio

Dr. David McKenzie is a Professor of Philosophy. His educational background includes a B.A. in history from Louisiana College, a B.D. in theology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a M.A. in philosophy from Louisiana State University, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Texas. He specializes in church/state relations, bioethics, and philosophy of religion. He has made many professional conference presentations and is author of numerous professional articles, book reviews, and book chapters, as well as one monograph on the thought of Wolfhart Pannenberg and an anthology, e pluribus unum, on unity and diversity in American culture. In addition to his academic work, he has served as pastor of several congregations in the Rome area, and is presently Pastor of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Cave Spring, GA.
