Queensland University of Technology is based in Brisbane, QUT is a top Australian university with global connections and a reputation for quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses, a wide range of studies and applied research best suited to the needs of industry and the community.
QUT is divided into two campuses, Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove, which are located in Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland. In Brisbane’s central business district Gardens Point is the only full-service university campus. Located on the Brisbane River, QUT is adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens and Queensland’s Parliament House.
Kelvin Grove is located on a leafy rise just two kilometers from the city center and is only 10 minutes from the Gardens Point campus. The Kelvin Grove campus has become the hub of innovative space and enterprise.
Program of Study
At Gardens Point study areas are business, engineering, law and justice, and science and technology. Study areas at Kelvin Grove campus are creative industries (communication, performing arts, multimedia, fashion, film, and television) education, health, and justice studies. Our Study Abroad team offer specialized support services for Study Abroad students including a comprehensive orientation program which provides students with the opportunity to meet people from around the world. All international students have access to support services including pre-arrival information and seminars, airport reception, accommodation assistance, and academic and personal counseling.
GlobaLinks students are guaranteed pre-arranged accommodation without meals at QUT. There are a variety of housing options available which you will apply for after acceptance.
Students pay Berry tuition, which includes tuition, administration, student support services and an academic record. Housing without meals costs $6,445. The Australian student visa is approximately $400.
Required GPA 2.5/4.0.
As a study abroad student, you will be required to enroll as a full time student, a minimum of 36 credit points per semester. Most QUT subjects are offered in 12 credit point units and most students enroll in four subjects as a standard workload.
