Callie Starn
es graduated from Berry College
with a degree in Communications and a minor in government. She is a reporter
and weekend anchor for WRCB-TV Channel 3, the NBC affiliate in Chattanooga, TN.
Callie anchors Eyewitness News
at 6:00 and 11:00 pm each weekend. She is a
general assignment reporter during the week, covering anything from crime to
local politics. Callie was first hired as a morning reporter and worked her way
up to an anchor position. In her time at Channel 3, Callie has covered a multitude
of memorable stories including the Tonya Craft child molestation trial that
gained national attention. She recently had the opportunity to interview
television legend Betty White.
Callie began her broadcast career
while at Berry.
During her freshman year she worked for a local radio station in Rome and then took on
internships including one at WSB-TV in Atlanta.
She served as station manager for Berry’s
on-campus television station and in several leadership roles on campus.
Following graduation Callie moved to Middle Georgia to report for WMGT-TV, the
NBC affiliate in Macon, GA.
Callie lives in Chattanooga with her
husband Brian, and their dog Leu. She enjoys returning to campus to serve on
the Berry Alumni Council.
