 Emergency Relief Fund

Each year more than a few Berry students will find themselves facing a crisis or emergency, one that requires money they do not always have. A loved-one will die, and the student has no funds to return home for the funeral. Or a parent becomes seriously ill and the student needs help paying for a plane ticket. Or a student is the victim of a theft off campus, or an airline loses the student’s luggage, and the student needs financial help until money from other sources arrives.

The Berry Emergency Relief Fund was established decades ago to address these crisis situations and others. Administered by the Chaplain, the Fund exists to provide financial assistance to students where no other quick help is available. Once the need is verified, payment can be made, often the same day the money is needed.  Disbursements and the reasons for them are kept confidential.  Monies are not given for purposes that would be inconsistent with Berry’s values or Christian identity. The Fund through the years has helped countless Berry students when they most needed it.

The Emergency Relief Fund exists entirely because of the donations of generous alumni, faculty and staff, students, and friends of the college.

Our goal is to raise $3,000. To give to the fund, select "Emergency Relief Fund" in in the Gift Designation field after clicking the button below.
