|
Java City is open from 8 AM - 3:30 PM and reopens from 6 PM to 12 AM.

Sunday - Thursday, 1 PM - 9 PM Friday, 1 PM - 5 PM Saturday, Closed

How do I check out books from the library?
|
Just complete a registration form at the Circulation Desk (bring your Berry ID), we'll put you in the system and you'll be good to go.
|
Do we get fined for overdue books?
|
No, but a late book will be considered "lost" after 30 days. If lost, you will be responsible for the replacement cost of the item, plus a $5 processing fee.

How long can I check out a book?
|
You can check a book out for 4 weeks and renew it after that.
|
How many books can someone check out at a time?
|
As many as you can carry! Berry students do not have a limit on the number of items they can check out.

How do you check out a laptop and how long can you keep it?
|
Stop by the Circulation Desk to fill out a laptop agreement form. We have 4-hour and 24-hour checkouts on laptops.

What is the fine for keeping a computer past its due time?
|
Late fines for overdue laptops are $5 per hour or partial hour.

How do I return a book?
|
Return a book by bringing it in to the Circulation Desk. Or, you can put it in the Book Drop outside the library (to the left of the entrance).

How do I request a renewal?
|
You can bring the books in directly to the library, call the Circulation Desk at (706) 236-1739, or log on to "Your Library Account" in the library's catalog.

Find a specific author in the library?
|
In the online catalog Basic Search, choose either "Author Browse" or "Author/Title" from the drop-down menu and make sure to put the last name first.

Use microfilm?
|
The library has readers/printers to view and make copies of microfilm (and microfiche). Please ask a staff member for assistance.

Log on to my library account?
|
Log in to your account via the online catalog. Enter your ID number and last name, and click "Log in."

Encyclopedia/dictionary?
|
Most are in the Reference Collection on the first floor.
|
Section for casual reading?
|
Library of Congress Classification generally places casual reading in the PR and PS sections (found on the second floor). New releases are found by Java City.

Writing Center?
|
The Writing Center is located in the Seminar Room on the second floor.
|
Quiet zone?
|
The quiet zone areas are located at the back of the library on the first and second floors.

Can we use our Flex Bucks to get coffee from Java City?

Yes. It's the same as if you were using them in the Bean'ry or Valhalla.

Why are some books located in Cook and others in the Memorial Library?
|
Cook holds Berry's collection of children's and young adult fiction, as well as curriculum and teacher resources.

How much does it cost to make copies?
|
10¢ per page for black and white, 25¢ for color copies. You can get change at the Circulation Desk, or use your One-Card if you've deposited money on that account.

Where can I fax a document?
|
Students may fax documents for free at our Counter Connections area, located at the Information Desk.

What is the best database for Shakespeare Criticism?
|
Literature Criticism Online gives access to our Shakespearean Criticism collection where you will find most of the Shakespeare criticism available.
