Community Based Learning

College strives to meet the renewed demand for higher education’s
involvement in community. Faculty members across disciplines are
linking academic instruction to community experience through the
utilization of:
- Classroom service-learning projects,
- Community-based research, and
- Internships.
Anecdotal evidence from students proves that these “firsthand”
experiences are deepening students’ understanding of the curriculum and
offering them confidence in the professional skills they are developing.
