Opportunities and Student Recognition

  • Students have the opportunity to travel to regional and national meetings to present their research. The college is a member of the National Collegiate Honors Council. In recent years, Berry’s Honors students have regularly been accepted to make presentations at the NCHC conference. If an Honors student’s proposal is accepted, all travel and related expenses are covered.
  • There are opportunities to attend cultural events and participate in social activities sponsored by the Honors program.
  • The Honors Student Union (HSU) provides many opportunities for students to take on leadership roles through the Annual Issues Forum and publications produced by the HSU.
  • Those who have completed all requirements of the program are given a silver cord to wear at graduation. The degree for Honors students is an Honors degree—a BAH or BSH.
