Service Opportunities
A Culture of Service

Berry College Volunteer Services is a student-led office dedicated to service for the community. The office coordinates several volunteer opportunities across campus to engage students, faculty, and staff with Berry College, the City of Rome as well as the greater Floyd County. Opportunities can be periodic or on-going commitments and encourage students to:

  • Gain knowledge and experience through co-curricular service activities, focusing on a particular need, people group, or societal issue
  • Promote citizenship and leadership for their future endeavors
  • Observe and respond to the needs of the Rome and Floyd County communities
  • Build relationships outside of Berry College
  • Develop a sense of personal responsibility and understanding of the world around them

BCVS works with individuals, groups (clubs, organizations, departments, and residence halls), and community partners to fulfill the Berry's motto, “Not to be ministered unto, but to minister” in every service event.
