Murdoch University was established in 1973 as a research university, Murdoch is a modern, progressive institution of 13,000 students, committed to flexible, multi-disciplinary study. Students may enroll directly in the university or apply through the American Institute for Foreign Study. 

Location 
Western Australia is idolized for its bright blue skies, warm sunny climate, and white sandy beaches. Perth is the capital city of Western Australia and has more hours of sunshine than any capital city in Australia. Perth is a relatively safe, friendly, and inexpensive city that is large enough to be exciting and urbane. 

Program of Study 
Murdoch University has an extensive range of academic programs, with approximately 2,000 international students from over 65 countries. As a study abroad student at Murdoch University you can choose subjects in over 90 disciplines offered on campus, enabling you not only to meet your Berry requirements but also to deepen or broaden your educational experience. This is a great option for Animal Science majors, and opportunities exist to volunteer in this field.  Berry students may take up to 12 credit points (which equates to 15 credit hours).

Living Arrangements 
Murdoch University Village is home to over 800 students and accommodation is provided in self-catering units on campus. Standard undergrad units contain five, six, or eight-bedrooms; two baths; and a communal kitchen and lounge room. The Village also has a swimming pool, recreation rooms and a study center for residents’ use. 

Costs 
Students pay Berry College tuition and Murdoch's housing costs. Click  here for housing costs.  Pricing will depend on whether the student enrolls directly or through AIFS.  See sidebar for budgets.  The student visa costs about USD 400.

Eligibility 
Required GPA 2.75/4.0. As a study abroad student, you will be required to enroll as a full time student. Your semester is equivalent to 12-15 U.S. credits.
