Overview Main 2

As Martha Berry planted the seeds of Berry College in 1902, BCEMS is proud to carry on her educational vision.  Located on Berry College’s Mountain Campus, the home of Miss Berry’s original schoolhouse, Possum Trot, House o’ Dreams, Frost Chapel, BCEMS’ grounds offer the ultimate outdoor classroom of over 27,000 acres of unparalleled beauty and inspiration for learning.

Led by our permanent staff of master level teachers, BCEMS classrooms flourish with one of the lowest adult-to-student ratios in the country because of outstanding student teachers, graduate assistants, and student workers who provide additional focus on children.  Our creative environments, well-managed classrooms, and hands-on emphasis are grounded in Constructivism and based on the ideal of demonstrating what is possible when given a rare pool of extraordinary talent and resources.
