Piano Duet on March 19

Four Hands Recital, a piano duet, will be at 6 p.m. March 19 at the Betty Anne Rouse Bell Recital Hall at Ford Auditorium.

Visiting pianist Rachel Chung and Berry College Associate Professor of Music Kris Carlisle will perform together on one piano, a duet that is often called a “piano four hands.” They will perform pieces by Samuel Barber, George Gershwin, Gyorgy Ligeti, Francis Poulenc and Germain Tailleferre.

Chung is a pianist and associate professor of music theory and piano studies at Spelman College. She has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist in Canada, France, Italy, Korea, Thailand and throughout the U.S. She has performed and presented lectures and master classes in the Grumo Festival in Italy, Forty Fingers International Festival in Rome, Hawaii International Conference for Arts and Humanities and many more.

This concert is free and open to the public.
