Berry College’s Lumen Lecture series is proud to welcome author, speaker, and philosophy professor Meghan Sullivan at 7 p.m., Jan. 30, in the Krannert Ballroom.
The lecture series is sponsored by the Office of the Chaplain and is open to the public.
Sullivan will speak on “God & The Good Life, a philosophical exploration of faith, virtue, and flourishing”. Her passions are articulated in her latest book, “The Good Life Method: Reasoning Through the Big Questions of Happiness, Faith, and Meaning.”
Sullivan serves as director of the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study, which promotes issue-engaged, inclusive and interdisciplinary study of questions that affect people’s ability to lead valuable, meaningful lives. She is currently writing a book on the role that love plays in grounding moral, political and religious reasoning, “Samaritanism: Moral Responsibility and Our Inner Lives.”
She has a Ph.D. from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Oxford.
